Statement
The Anderson Galleries, LLC is dedicated to showing museum quality 19th and 20th paintings by noted and historically important European artists. Outstanding Impressionist, Post-impressionist, Barbizon School, Salon, Academic and Genre works are shown throughout the year by such well known artists as William Adolphe Bouguereau, Camille Corot, Charles Francois Daubigny, Henri Fantin-Latour, John William Godward, Daniel Ridgway Knight, Gustave Loiseau, Henri Martin, Jean Francois Millet, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre August Renoir, Alfred Sisley and many others.
We are equally committed to exhibiting paintings by lesser-known European and American artists active between 1800 and 1930 who we believe have been overlooked and undervalued. Our inventory consistently includes a wide range of subjects including: rural landscapes, cityscapes, history and allegorical pictures, scenes of romance, family life, animals, portraits and still-lifes all of which are regularly featured in our gallery. Many of these works start at under ten thousand dollars.
Kevin Zweyer Anderson, President of Anderson Galleries,LLC is a fourth generation Southern Californian and has been respected member of the art trade since 1984. After six years with the Hammer Galleries in New York City, Anderson returned to his native Los Angeles where he worked as the director for a well known Beverly Hills gallery before opening the Anderson Galleries in 1998. He has written and lectured widely on 19th and 20th century art and is a member of the Appraisers Association of America.
The Anderson Galleries is located at 354 N. Bedford Drive in the heart of Beverly Hills "golden triangle" shopping district. We are next door to Sotheby's auction house and only two blocks west of Rodeo Drive. The Regent Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hilton and Peninsula Hotels are minutes away. Certified appraisals, framing, conservation and shipping services are available.
